Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Overview:
The Sr. Human Resources Manager is responsible for driving the execution of key HR initiatives and
processes to enable continuous improvement in the areas of organization effectiveness, staffing,
employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation,
benefits, employment practices and compliance. This is a key position that requires an HR
professional who is passionate about their work, a strong leader, and dedicated to the success of
the business by driving change and shaping a positive culture within the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Drive the execution of key HR initiatives and processes to enable continuous
improvement in the areas of organizational effectiveness, staffing, employee relations,
performance management, training and development, benefits, employment practices,
and compliance
• Provide leadership, guidance and counsel on matters related to employee relations and
compliance; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate
circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of
wrongdoing, executing performance improvement plans, and terminations
• Support organization change and continuous improvement efforts by collaborating with
leadership to ensure successful change management approaches through effective
planning and analysis, communication of change initiatives, full and active leadership
support, and employee involvement
• Work with management team to create and facilitate employee development activities,
including performance management, mentoring, succession planning, professional and
leadership development, and organizational planning
• Assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of
qualified candidates for exempt and non-exempt positions
• Participate in local wage surveys and analyze trends in compensation and benefits;
research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the
organization attracts and retains top talent
• Assist the EHS department with workers compensation case management when needed
• Develop and drive employee engagement programs and initiatives
• Be a positive and proactive Company and employee advocate
• Collaborate with Director of HR on best practices, critical needs issues, business
initiatives, and strategic planning
Job Description: Human Resources Manager
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and
recommended best practices; administer policies and practices to maintain compliance
and equity within the organization
• Maintain accurate HRIS (Paycom), KPI reports, personnel files, job descriptions, Company
policies, handbooks, vendor contracts, and other proprietary information, update in a
timely manner
• Perform routine HR administrative duties regularly and participate in special projects
when assigned

• Excellent active listening, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills
• Proven leadership experience and excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflictresolution, analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, Paycom experience a plus
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and effectively manage multiple
projects
• Possess a high energy level and maintain a positive forward-thinking attitude
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and ATS, Paycom,
ADP Workforce

environment and strong working relationships across functional lines
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources leadership role
• Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including
compensation, performance management, hiring and employee relations; able to apply
these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
• In depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations and HR best practices
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry required
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP highly desired
Travel Requirements: This position is based out of Eugene, OR. but is responsible for a smaller
plant in the South and will require some travel (about 10%)
