As a Hunter Communications Field Technician, you’ll interact daily with our customers bringing them the latest in internet technologies. The ability to effectively communicate with customers and work with urgency is a must. Most of the work is outdoors so the right candidate will be comfortable working in inclement weather, while climbing/working from ladders, and should have experience with hand tools.

Your job duties will have you working with residential and commercial customers performing wireless and fiber installations and service calls. This can take place at single family homes, apartment complexes, and businesses ranging from small offices or restaurants to hospitals. Additionally, you’ll be trained and certified to climb our wireless towers to support the wireless network. No two days will be the same and you’ll be working closely with the rest of the technicians as a team. 

The schedule for this position is 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday from 7 AM - 5 PM. Limited on-call is required between one and two weeks a month, but additional compensation is provided. The duties for this role include:

  • Residential, commercial, and industrial installations both for fiber and wireless
  • Extensive work from ladders, rooftops, towers, and bucket trucks - must be comfortable working from heights
  • Aim, align, configure, and install fixed-wireless antennas
  • Provide customer education
  • Install fiber-optic outside plant
  • Tower landscape maintenance
  • Work outdoors at all times of the year and in all weather conditions
  • Tower climbing to serve wireless network infrastructure (professional training provided)

 This is a full-time position 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Thursday.
